One of the most celebrated talents on the Nouvelle Chansons scene, Emily Loizeau followed up her Prix Constantin-winning sophomore album, Pays Sauvage, with another collection of poetic and melancholic folk songs entitled Mothers & Tygers. Recorded at her home in Ardeche, it includes the single "Vole le Chagrin des Oiseaux" and tracks penned by French chanteuse Camille ("Marry Gus and Celia") and Herman Düne's David-Ivar Herman Düne ("The Angel").
